A man well-known for working with his hands, Don Gardner founded Don Gardner Construction in 1950. During the company’s beginnings, the business was operated out of the home Don shared with his wife, Vivian, who took on the office responsibilities. After six years, the current office at 315 LaPorte Road was built.

The business continued to grow and thrive under Don’s tutelage. Don’s son, Mark Gardner, joined his father as an employee in 1971. In 1981, Mark was named the Vice President of Don Gardner Construction. The same values that Don initiated are being carried on by Mark today and will continue to be in the future by Mark’s two sons, Casey and Jacob Gardner.
